What fines and fees does the Libraries charge for overdue materials?
For regular Ohio University and OhioLINK loans, the Libraries do not charge daily overdue fines or fees. However, the Libraries charges a $100 replacement fee for items more than 29 days overdue.
Course reserve textbooks, laptops, and other short-term loan items are billed immediately upon becoming overdue. Laptops and other specialty items may be billed for the full cost of replacement. Interlibrary loan materials may also have item-specific due dates and replacement costs.
You will receive email reminders when it is time to return or renew library materials, as well as email notifications of any fees assessed.
